From its very inception, the All India Sai Samaj has been founded upon a clear spiritual vision: that the Sai movement must remain rooted in authentic spiritual guidance, devotion, and selfless service. Central to this vision is the conviction that the spiritual headship of the Sai movement is of paramount importance, and that none among the members could fulfil this sacred role in the manner of the founder himself. Accordingly, Shri Narasimha Swamiji is regarded as the spiritual head of the Samaj and of Sai devotees, whose guidance transcends physical limitations.

It is in this spirit that a cottage was constructed and dedicated to Swamiji, symbolising his continuing presence as the “permanent and always present guide, director and helper” of all who seek Sai Baba’s path through the Samaj.

Even today, devotees believe that for the Maha Kumbabhishekam, temple service, or any undertaking of the Samaj, earnest prayer and appeal must first be made to Shri Narasimha Swamiji - the ever-present guide, director, and helper - for grace, clarity, and success.

It was with this vision for the future of the Sai movement that, on 30 September 1956, nearly three fortnights before shedding his mortal frame, Shri H.H. Narasimha Swamiji made a solemn proclamation intended as a guiding message for all devotees.

“It is up to every hearer of this message to vigorously whip up his own attachment to Baba, improve his knowledge also of Baba's ways of working, get into contact with Baba's children, and develop himself by surrender and service to Baba into an Ankita child.”

“May you become the 'Ankita' children of Baba by your total surrender to him and devotion of all your time, energies and wealth to his cause.”
